Following the issuance of Rector’s Regulation Number 5 of 2023 concerning Waste Management, the UPT K3L (United Work Unit for Environmental Health and Safety) held an online socialization via Zoom meeting for all senior officials at Diponegoro University.
The socialization aimed to share knowledge with stakeholders in each work unit at Diponegoro University. The event began with a safety induction, the singing of the national anthem, remarks from the Head of UPT K3L, and instructions from the Vice Rector for Resources on behalf of the Rector of Diponegoro University. The event then continued with open presentations from several parties involved in the world of waste management.
Setia Jaya Kreanesia and the Dipo Waste Bank (DWB) Team from Diponegoro University led this session, educating them on proper waste management, both organic and inorganic. The DWB team also presented videos of existing waste management practices in several work units at Diponegoro University, providing an initial overview of whether they are in compliance with Rector’s Regulation Number 5 of 2023 concerning Waste Management at Diponegoro University.
The main event of the socialization was led by environmental expert Prof. Dr. Ir. Syafrudin, CES, M.T., IPM, as the resource person. Moderated by Prof. Ir. Mochamad Arief Budihardjo, S.T., M.Eng.Sc, Env.Eng, Ph.D., IPM., ASEAN Eng. The event proceeded smoothly and provided new insights regarding waste management that will be implemented at Diponegoro University in accordance with the latest regulations.
